The Newton Medical Center Emergency Department has 17 beds including 4 cardiac and 5 trauma beds. The ER is staffed with RNs, LPNs, Techs and Secretaries. All nurses are ACLS and PALS certified.

We are experiencing growth due to our county’s growth. We use a 3 point system to triage patients. These categories are Emergent, Urgent, Non-Urgent. Patients are seen based on this scale.
